Set in the mountains of Georgia, this story follows two women, Iva and Nina, who work as conductors on a cable car system connecting a valley town to a village. Because the two gondolas cross paths every half hour, the women use these brief encounters to transition from professional greetings to a romantic relationship. Their growing affection leads to challenges involving their supervisor.
The film was written and directed by Veit Helmer, following his 2019 project The Bra and preceding Akiko, the Flying Monkey. The cast features Mathilde Irrmann as Iva and Nini Soselia as Nino, with Zviad Papuashvili playing the boss. Produced by Veit Helmer-Filmproduktion alongside WDR, BR, and SR, this German-Georgian co-production earned 3 million USD at the worldwide box office.
Audience reception is generally positive, with a rating of 6.6/10 from 474 votes on IMDb and a 6.8/10 from 12 votes on TMDB.
