Short description

The Empress is a Brazilian romantic drama centered on a chance encounter at dawn. While visiting Café Insomnia, a woman named Melina unexpectedly crosses paths with a person from her former life. Their reunion lasts only one night, but the experience permanently alters the future for one of them.

The film was co-directed by Raíssa Anjos and Ruan Bertuce. For Anjos, this was the first of two listed films, followed by Trago Seu Amor de Volta in 2026. For Bertuce, it preceded Memories and Love Letters For Sale in 2024.
