Tommy Nix is a twenty-year-old working-class man whose life falls apart when his pregnant girlfriend is attacked and loses their baby. When the legal system fails to deliver what he considers justice, he deliberately commits a crime so he will be sent to Feltham, the young offenders institution where those responsible are serving their sentences. Once inside, he sets out to settle the score himself.
The thriller was directed by Ron Scalpello, the first of three features listed for him, followed by Pressure and The Corrupted, and written by Paul van Carter, who also produced alongside Nick Taussig. Joe Cole plays Tommy, with English Frank, Kimberley Nixon, Shaun Dooley, Vas Blackwood and Israel Oba among the cast. The production, made in the United Kingdom by IM Global, Gunslinger and RDT Productions, had a budget of 2 million dollars.
Released in August 2012, the film runs 102 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.1 from around 5,200 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.7 from 115 votes. A critics' rating of 5 out of 10 from 10 reviews places it below the audience scores, suggesting viewers responded to it somewhat more warmly than reviewers did.
