Set in Kabul in 2021, shortly before the return of the Taliban, the story follows Naru, the only female camera operator at the city's primary television station. While navigating a custody battle for her young son following a marriage marked by infidelity, Naru has become convinced that no decent men exist in her country. Her perspective is challenged when she is paired with Qodrat, a prominent journalist who offers her professional growth. As they travel through the capital to document its final days of freedom, the two develop a romantic connection that makes Naru question her beliefs.
This film marks the second feature directed by Shahrbanoo Sadat, following Super Afghan Gym. Sadat also co-wrote the screenplay and stars in the lead role as Naru, appearing alongside Anwar Hashimi, who plays Qadrat. The production was a multi-national effort involving companies from Germany, Afghanistan, Denmark, Norway, and France. Produced with a budget of 3 million USD, the movie blends elements of comedy, drama, and romance. With a runtime of 103 minutes, it was released on May 28, 2026.
