Short description

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship 'Covenant' discovers what is thought to be an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world—which has a sole inhabitant: the 'synthetic', David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Ridley Scott announced on November 27, 2015, that 'Alien: Covenant' would be the first part of a new 'Alien' trilogy, and that the plot of this trilogy would be closer to the first film 'Alien' (1979).
The film's title was changed from 'Alien: Paradise Lost' to 'Alien: Covenant'.
Some scenes were filmed in Sydney, Australia, at the Fox studio.
Rebecca Ferguson was initially considered for the lead role, but Katherine Waterston was ultimately cast.
The androids David and Walter were named after producers David Giler and Walter Hill.
