Yoko

Pia is a young girl living in a small German town whose life changes when she discovers a creature called Yoko in her treehouse. Yoko is a kind yeti from the Himalayas with magical abilities and a protective nature toward children and animals. While Pia and her friend Lukas try to keep the creature a secret from Pia's family, they must also protect Yoko from hunters who want to capture the animal for profit.

The film was directed by Franziska Buch, following her previous work on Secret Love: The Schoolboy and the Mailwoman, Angsthasen, and Rosannas Tochter. The cast includes Jamie Bick as Pia, Friedrich Heine as Lukas, and Tobias Moretti as Van Sneider. The production was a collaboration between companies from Germany, Austria, and Sweden, including Studio Babelsberg, Dor Film, and B.A. Filmproduktion.
