Move follows a group of eight friends in their twenties living in Germany. As they navigate the uncertainties of early adulthood, they frequently help one another move house across Berlin and other parts of the country. These repeated relocations serve as markers for significant life changes, coinciding with the start of new jobs, the search for independence, and the shifting dynamics of their romantic relationships. While their personal lives and social circles remain in a state of flux, their shared habit of carrying boxes becomes a constant bond of support.
The comedy was directed by Dietrich Brüggemann, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Anna Brüggemann. It is the first of two listed films directed by Brüggemann, preceding Home Entertainment. The cast features Anna Brüggemann, Robert Gwisdek, Alice Dwyer, Jacob Matschenz, Amelie Kiefer, and Aylin Tezel, with a total of 48 credited cast members. Produced by ARD, the film has a runtime of 118 minutes. Audience reception is generally positive, with a rating of 6.6/10 from 1,400 votes on IMDb and a rating of 6.4/10 from 55 votes on TMDB.
