Yasuko, Songs of Days Past

Set in the early 1920s, this drama follows the complicated relationship between Yasuko, an aspiring actress, and Chūya Nakahara, a young poet. After moving to Tokyo, their lives are further impacted by the arrival of Hideo Kobayashi, a friend of Chūya and a future literary critic. The intersection of these three individuals creates an intense bond that alters the course of Yasuko's life.

Directed by Kichitaro Negishi, the film features Suzu Hirose in the lead role as Yasuko Hasegawa, alongside Taisei Kido as Nakahara Chuya and Masaki Okada as Kobayashi Hideo. Shinsuke Kato also appears in the cast as Tatsuno. The screenplay was written by Yōzō Tanaka and produced by Yumiko Takebe, Yukiko Tanigawa, and Mitsuru Sato.

Released on February 21, 2025, the Japanese production was created through a collaboration between Geek Sight, Kino Films, GEEK PICTURES, and PAPADO Music Publishers. The film has a total runtime of 128 minutes.
