Short description

A Belarusian model aspiring to work in China develops a relationship with a mysterious man who spends his nights working in a morgue. Their connection challenges her perceptions of beauty, mortality, and the human body. As two outsiders, they navigate a fragile romance that alters their perspectives on loneliness and their place in the world.

This drama and romance was co-directed by Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter, who also wrote the screenplay. It is the second film they have directed together, following their 2024 project Dreaming Dogs. The lead roles are played by Marya Imbro as Masha and Mikhail Senkov as Misha, with Olga Reptukh and Andrei Sauchanka appearing in supporting roles.

The film is a joint production from Germany and Austria, produced by ma.ja.de. Fiction, Panama Film, and RAUMZEITFILM Produktion. It was released on January 23, 2026, with a total runtime of 115 minutes.
