Detectives Franz Eberhofer and Rudi Birkenberger investigate the death of a local grilled fish vendor found on a new golf course in Niederkaltenkirchen. As they look for the killer, the duo finds themselves entangled in a heated rivalry between two families that manage traditional folk festival attractions. The investigation takes place while Franz deals with moving into a new home and Susi campaigns for mayor.

This German crime comedy was produced by Constantin Film and directed by Ed Herzog, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Stefan Betz. It is the tenth film directed by Herzog, following his previous work which includes Dampfnudelblues and Rehragout-Rendezvous. The movie features Sebastian Bezzel and Simon Schwarz in the lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Lisa Maria Potthoff, Gerhard Wittmann, Eisi Gulp, and Enzi Fuchs.
