Isabelle wants to marry the man she loves, but she fears a family curse that causes every first marriage to end in divorce. To bypass this fate, she decides to find a random stranger to marry and divorce quickly before committing to her boyfriend. She chooses Jean-Yves, a travel guide editor, and the two embark on a journey that takes them from Mount Kilimanjaro to Moscow. As the trip progresses, Isabelle must decide if she still wants to get rid of her husband or if she has developed genuine feelings for him.
This romantic comedy is a joint production from France and Belgium. It was directed by Pascal Chaumeil, following his 2010 film Heartbreaker and preceding A Long Way Down in 2014. The movie stars Diane Kruger as Isabelle and Dany Boon as Jean-Yves, with supporting roles played by Alice Pol and Robert Plagnol.
