Delirious

Les Galantine is a New York paparazzo whose career has stalled; he chases celebrities without the connections or the money to move in their world. A chance encounter brings him Toby Grace, a homeless young man who has come to the city hoping to act. Les takes him on as an assistant and lets him sleep in a closet at his rundown apartment, and the two become constant companions as Les drags Toby along to premieres and parties in pursuit of a worthwhile shot.

Toby's luck turns when he catches the attention of K'Harma Leeds, a pop star at the height of her fame, and the two begin a relationship. The friendship between the two men frays as Toby's fortunes rise, and Les, resentful of the turn his own life has taken, begins to scheme against the young man he once helped.

Tom DiCillo wrote and directed the film, his second feature after Double Whammy (2001), with Robert Salerno producing. Steve Buscemi plays Les, Michael Pitt plays Toby, and Alison Lohman plays K'Harma; Gina Gershon, Callie Thorne and Elvis Costello appear in supporting roles. The film runs 107 minutes and was released in July 2007. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 123 votes.
