The Dashed Lines

The Dashed Lines is a Spanish drama and romance about an unexpected connection between two strangers. Bea is a fifty-year-old woman in the process of divorcing her husband and preparing to leave her home of two decades. Upon returning to the house, she discovers it has been ransacked and finds a twenty-eight-year-old trans man named Denís asleep in her bed. Despite his education, Denís struggles with a lack of professional opportunities and job instability. Instead of contacting the authorities, Bea spends three days getting to know the intruder. After this short period together, both individuals return to their separate lives changed by the experience.

The film was directed by Anxos Fazáns, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ian de la Rosa. The lead roles are played by Mara Sánchez as Bea and Adam Prieto as Denís, with Machi Salgado appearing as Poli. The production was a collaboration between several companies, including AGADIC, Sideral Cinema, Elamedia Estudios, and Sétima.
