Sandbag Dam

Set in a Croatian village threatened by flooding, this drama follows the reunion of two former teenage lovers. Slaven returns to his hometown for his father's funeral, where he reconnects with Marko, a young athlete. Their past relationship was the reason Slaven was previously cast out of his home. As the community works together to build sandbag barriers against the rising water, Marko struggles to maintain his stable life and a relationship with his girlfriend, Petra, while facing renewed feelings for Slaven and the pressures of his conservative family.

Directed by Čejen Černić Čanak and written by Tomislav Zajec, the film is a co-production between Lithuania, Slovenia, and Croatia.
