• In October 2007, George Miller assembled the film's cast. It included D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, model Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, rapper Common as Green Lantern – John Stewart, Adam Brody as the Flash – Barry Allen, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman – Arthur Curry, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter – J'onn J'onzz. However, Miller was unable to begin filming immediately, and the actors cast in these roles moved on to other projects.
• In January 2008, Warner Brothers announced the indefinite shelving of the project and the release of the already cast actors. They determined that the plot of the future film required significant revisions, which were not feasible at the time due to the strike called by the Writers Guild of America (2007-2008).
• Work on the project took 10 years.
• Chris Terrio completed the screenplay in July 2015.
• In preparation for her role, Gal Gadot trained in wushu, kickboxing, swordsmanship, jiu-jitsu, and capoeira.
