Charlie Hinton runs a daycare center, and when he wants his son to have the kind of summer camp experience he missed out on as a boy, he and his friend Phil take charge of a rundown camp of their own. Neither man knows much about the outdoors or about repairing the dilapidated buildings, and the children prove hard to manage. As enrollment falls and the place faces the threat of closing, Charlie turns to his estranged father, Buck, a disciplined military man, for help in turning the camp around and in bringing the kids together as a group.
