A Matter of Life and Death

A Matter of Life and Death follows Haya, a woman who believes she is cursed to die before she turns thirty. This conviction leads her to live a reckless and chaotic life. After a stunt results in a hospital visit, she meets Youssef, a disciplined heart surgeon who relies on strict routines and avoids surprises. Believing their meeting is fate, Haya disrupts Youssef's orderly existence, drawing him into a world of strange rituals and neon nights. As Haya's perceived deadline approaches, the two form an unexpected bond that challenges Youssef's emotional detachment and forces both to confront their fears.

This Saudi Arabian production was directed by Anas Ba Tahaf and written by Sarah Taibah. The film features Sarah Taibah in the role of Hayat and Yaqoub Al-Farhan as Youssef, with supporting performances by Husam AlHarthi, Fay Fouad, Amani al-Jameel, and Ghada Aboud.
