Monsters: Dark Continent

Set seven years after the events of Monsters, the story takes place in a world where infected zones have expanded globally. Humans are no longer the dominant species, and small communities fight to survive. In the Middle East, a seasoned American soldier named Noah and an inexperienced recruit are the only survivors of an attack on their unit. They travel deep into monster territory to find and eliminate another American soldier, eventually receiving help from a local woman. Along the way, they discover that the most dangerous threats may not be the extraterrestrial creatures.

This United Kingdom production was directed by Tom Green, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Basu. It is the first of two films directed by Green, followed by Me and the Voice In My Head in 2024. The cast features Johnny Harris as Noah Frater, alongside Sam Keeley, Joe Dempsie, Kyle Soller, Nicholas Pinnock, and Parker Sawyers.

The film received a mixed to negative reception from viewers and professionals. It holds a rating of 4.3/10 on IMDb based on 12,000 votes and 4.7/10 on TMDB from 405 votes. Film critics provided a similar assessment, giving the movie a rating of 4/10 from 34 reviews.
