God Will Not Help

Set in the early 20th century, this drama follows Teresa, a woman from Chile who travels to a remote mountain region. She arrives at an isolated and strictly organized community of Croatian shepherds, claiming to be the widow of a brother who had emigrated. Her presence disrupts the established social order and creates tension among the inhabitants, while simultaneously serving as a source of inspiration for the local women.

Written and directed by Hana Jušić, the film is a multi-national production involving companies from Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, France, and Croatia. The cast is led by Manuela Martelli in the role of Teresa, supported by Ana Marija Veselčić, Filip Đurić, Mauro Ercegović Gracin, Nikša Butijer, and Tina Orlandini. The movie has a runtime of 137 minutes and blends elements of mystery, romance, and thriller.
