Two Lives

Set in 1990 following the fall of the Berlin Wall, this drama thriller follows Katrine, a woman living in Norway who was born during World War II to a Norwegian mother and a German occupation soldier. Having spent her early years in East Germany, she now enjoys a stable family life with her husband, daughter, and granddaughter. This peace is disrupted when a lawyer asks Katrine and her mother to testify in a legal case against the Norwegian state on behalf of other war children. As Katrine resists, old secrets and concealments emerge, including the involvement of the Stasi, forcing her family to choose between their shared life and the truth of their past.
