Grande Envie

A widowed count living in a lavish chateau welcomes three adventurous young strangers into his home. As he interacts with these guests, the ghost of his late wife begins to haunt him through a camera lens. This presence blurs the line between the current moment and the past, blending feelings of longing with youthful decadence.

This romance was directed by Catherine Martin and produced as a joint venture between Italy and the United Kingdom. The short film, which has a runtime of four minutes, stars Willem Dafoe in the role of the count and Daisy Ridley as the countess. It was released on May 19, 2025.
