Phantom
Short description
A Soviet submarine captain is forced to leave his family to lead a secret mission that could determine the fate of humanity. While commanding the vessel, the captain struggles with health issues that distort his perception of reality and a troubled past. Tensions rise on board when a group from the KGB, led by an officer named Bruni, attempts to seize control of the submarine's nuclear missiles. The captain and a small group of loyal crew members must fight against these mutineers to prevent a global catastrophe.
Written and directed by Todd Robinson, this thriller is the third film in his career, following Amargosa and Lonely Hearts and preceding The Last Full Measure. The cast features Ed Harris, David Duchovny, Lance Henriksen, William Fichtner, Johnathon Schaech, and Jason Beghe. Produced by Trilogy Entertainment Group, RCR Media Group, and Solar Filmworks, the movie had a budget of 10 million USD but earned only 1 million USD at the worldwide box office.
