Black Burns Fast

Black Burns Fast is a coming-of-age story set at a prestigious boarding school in South Africa. The plot follows seventeen-year-old Luthando, whose expectations for a standard academic year are disrupted by the arrival of a student named Ayanda. As Luthando begins to accept her own sexuality, she finds herself managing various personas to prevent rejection from her peers and her mother.

The film was written and directed by Sandulela Asanda and produced by Urucu Media. The cast features Esihle Ndleleni in the lead role of Luthando, alongside Muadi Ilung as Ayanda. Other supporting roles are played by Mila Smith, Khensani Khoza, Ntsimedi Gwangwa, and Basetsana Motloung. This romantic comedy-drama has a total runtime of 96 minutes.
