Close Your Eyes Hind

Set during the war in Gaza, this drama follows five-year-old Hind Rajab and her family as they attempt to find a safe place to hide. While trying to distract themselves with music in their car, their journey is interrupted when an Israeli tank opens fire. Trapped in the vehicle and surrounded by tanks, the children comfort one another and discuss their hopes for the future. They maintain communication with emergency services, who promise a rescue once military permission is granted, but the attempt to find safety ends in tragedy.

Amir Zaza wrote, produced, and directed the film, which was a joint production between MATTAR Productions, Oxfam Novib in the Netherlands, and The Rights Forum. The project is a co-production between the Netherlands and the Netherlands Antilles. The cast features Patel Akkad in the title role, alongside Mohamad Akkad, Raghad Shannon, Sundus Albashash, Khalid Slayman, and Jasminka Hidanovic. Released on June 18, 2025, the film has a runtime of 32 minutes.
