Afternoon Delight

Rachel is a stay-at-home mother in Los Angeles whose comfortable life in the Silver Lake neighborhood has left her restless. Her marriage to Jeff has settled into routine, her career has stalled, and the social world of privileged mothers around her offers little relief. Hoping to revive the intimacy in her marriage, she goes with Jeff to a strip club, where she meets McKenna, a young dancer. Rachel is drawn to her and offers her a place to stay as a live-in nanny, an arrangement made without fully consulting Jeff.

McKenna's arrival unsettles the household rather than smoothing it over, as her presence and her outside activities pull Rachel into situations she had not anticipated, straining her marriage and her friendships. The film is a comedy drama written and directed by Joey Soloway and produced by Jennifer Chaiken and Sebastian Dungan.

Kathryn Hahn plays Rachel, with Juno Temple as McKenna, Josh Radnor as Jeff, and supporting turns from Jane Lynch, Michaela Watkins and Jessica St. Clair.
