Zi

Set in Hong Kong, this science fiction romance follows a young woman who experiences visions of her own future. Her life and the course of one particular evening are altered after she encounters a stranger.

The film was written and directed by Kogonada, following his previous work on Columbus, After Yang, and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. It precedes his other 2026 project, Doors of Bresson. Produced by Fragmentia, the movie features a cast including Michelle Mao in the title role, alongside Haley Lu Richardson and Jin Ha. Valerie May Richardson also appears as an older version of the character Elle. The production is a United States release with a runtime of 99 minutes.
