Akira Inugami is a reporter with a secret: he is the last survivor of an ancient werewolf bloodline, and the full moon awakens instincts he cannot fully control. When members of a gang die in bloody attacks that witnesses attribute to a tiger no one else can see, he begins looking into the deaths. The trail leads him to Miki, a cabaret singer whose life has come apart, and from there toward corrupt politicians and a wider conspiracy. A government agency wants Inugami's blood for its own purposes, and the killings and the conspiracy turn out to be bound together.
Sonny Chiba leads the cast as Inugami, with Kyōsuke Machida, Etsuko Nami, Kumi Taguchi, Yayoi Watanabe and Rikiya Yasuoka among the credited performers. Kazuhiko Yamaguchi directed, working from a screenplay by Fumio Kōnami, with Toru Yoshida producing for Toei Company. The film followed several of Yamaguchi's early-1970s pictures, including the two Sister Street Fighter entries from 1974, and it runs 86 minutes.
Released in Japan in April 1975, the film mixes action, crime and horror. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from around 1,300 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 from a much smaller group of 42 votes, a gap that suggests a modest but settled reputation rather than one still forming.
