Free Fall – Who You Are

Free Fall – Who You Are follows Marc, a man torn between the stable life he created and a truth he can no longer ignore. Years after a hidden romance with his police colleague Kay disrupted his existence, Marc struggles to reconcile these two conflicting worlds. This drama explores the transition toward living an honest life and extends the narrative beyond a traditional coming-out story. It serves as a reimagined recut of the 2013 film Freier Fall and is the first installment of a trilogy.

The film was directed by Stephan Lacant, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Karsten Dahlem. In the director's chronological body of work, this project follows Free Fall and Manhunt: Cold Sun. Produced by Q Studios Berlin, the movie features a cast led by Hanno Koffler as Marc Borgmann, Max Riemelt as Kay Engel, and Katharina Schüttler as Bettina Bischoff. The production was managed by producers Jochen Doell, Stephan Lacant, and Basti Kachel. The final version has a runtime of 124 minutes and was released on June 7, 2026.
