A teenage boy named Brad is sent against his will to Coldwater, a secluded juvenile reform facility located in the wilderness. The institution is run by a retired war colonel who enforces a cruel and authoritarian regime. As the story reveals the tragic events that led to Brad's placement there, he must fight to survive amidst a violent environment involving other inmates and the facility's staff.
Directed by Vincent Grashaw, this drama and thriller was the first of four films he directed, followed by Bang Bang, Gangland, and Bruton. Grashaw also co-wrote the screenplay with Mark Penney and served as a producer alongside Dave Gare and Kris Dorrance. The movie stars P.J. Boudousqué as Brad Lunders and James C. Burns as Colonel Frank Reichert, with supporting roles played by Chris Petrovski, Octavius J. Johnson, Stephanie Simbari, and Mackenzie Sidwell Graff.
The film received a moderate reception from viewers, earning a 6.4/10 rating on IMDb from 4,500 votes and a matching 6.4/10 on TMDB from 171 votes. Film critics gave the movie a lower average score of 5.9/10 based on 22 reviews.
