Noise is a New Zealand war film that explores a soldier's fragmented memories of his first kill. As these recollections dissolve into static and silence, the protagonist is eventually driven to pose a question to the viewer that mirrors one he encountered during his time in conflict.
The short film was written and directed by Isaac Fox, who also served as a producer alongside Henry Bovey. Bovey appears in the lead role as the soldier, supported by a cast that includes Stanley Pettengill and performers Tyler Thompson, James Rattray, and Alex Christensen as masked soldiers. Saem Millward appears as a masked pianist. The production was handled by Toppled Ovation and has a total runtime of five minutes.
