America: Birth Of A Nation

America: Birth Of A Nation is a short comedy marking the United States' 250th anniversary. Produced by The Onion, the 26-minute film looks back at the key moments and the founding figures credited with creating the nation. It is a satirical history piece built around the country's anniversary celebrations rather than a conventional documentary account of the period.

The film was released on 3 July 2026 and runs for 26 minutes, placing it in the short-form comedy territory rather than that of a feature-length production. The Onion is the production company behind it, which fits the film's comic and historical genres: it treats the country's founding story as material for humour rather than for solemn commemoration.
