Eva is a solitary visitor spending time in Madrid, where she wanders through the unfamiliar city with little interest in meeting others. While visiting the Reina Sofía Museum, she meets Dante, an Argentine historian. Their encounter leads to a connection centered on themes of displacement, memory, and labor, as Dante shares his research on the life of Juan Bialet Massé and the history of worker struggles in Argentina.
