Short description

I Plant My Hand in the Garden is a romantic drama set in Berlin. The story follows Hoda, an Iranian refugee, and Boris, a queer gay man from Serbia, who are in love and expecting a child. Although they plan to marry and raise their baby according to their own values, their bond is strained by bureaucratic obstacles and the weight of their respective family histories. As they navigate the expectations of their relatives and traditional views on parenthood, the couple begins to question the roles they are stepping into and whether they can redefine their relationship.

The film was co-directed and co-written by Hoda Taheri and Boris Hadžija, who also served as producers. This production was a collaboration between Germany, the United States, and Serbia, involving production companies such as the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, Naked, CRUISING PICTURES, and Mala. The movie has a runtime of 83 minutes.
