Screwed

Willard Fillmore has spent years working as the chauffeur for Virginia Crock, a wealthy and thoroughly unpleasant woman who never misses a chance to humiliate him. Tired of being overworked and underpaid, Willard decides to get even by taking her beloved dog and demanding money for its return. He brings in his best friend, Rusty P. Hayes, to help carry out the plan. The scheme quickly falls apart when the dog escapes and finds its way back home on its own. Miss Crock, however, draws a different conclusion: she becomes convinced that Willard is the one who has been abducted. With nowhere else to turn, the two men seek help from Grover Cleaver, a funeral director with questionable judgment. The addition of a third conspirator only multiplies the confusion.

The film was released in May 2000. Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski directed it and wrote the screenplay; Robert Simonds produced. Norm Macdonald plays Willard, Dave Chappelle plays Rusty, Danny DeVito plays Grover Cleaver, and Elaine Stritch plays Miss Crock, with Daniel Benzali and Sherman Hemsley in supporting roles.

Made for about 10 million dollars, the film earned roughly 7 million worldwide, less than its production cost. On IMDb it holds a 5.7 rating from around 10,000 votes, and on TMDB a 5.5 from over 100 votes. A critics' rating of 3.8 from 30 reviews places it below the audience scores.
