These Final Hours

With only hours left before a global catastrophe wipes out humanity, James sets out through a city descending into lawlessness to reach a huge final party, where he plans to lose himself in drink and drugs rather than face what is coming. On the way he rescues a young girl named Rose from two men who mean her harm. Rose is desperate to find her father before everything ends, and taking responsibility for her forces James to reconsider how he wants to spend his remaining time.

These Final Hours is an Australian drama directed and written by Zak Hilditch, his first feature, followed by 1922, Rattlesnake and We Bury the Dead. Nathan Phillips plays James and Angourie Rice plays Rose, with Daniel Henshall, Jessica De Gouw, David Field and Sarah Snook among the supporting cast. The film runs 87 minutes and was made for about 3 million US dollars.
