Breakout

A brother and sister witness a murder while on a camping trip in the woods. To eliminate any witnesses, the criminals responsible for the crime begin hunting the children. Their father, Jack Damson, is currently serving a prison sentence following a protest that ended in tragedy. Upon learning of the danger his children are in, he plans an escape from prison to rescue them from the killers.

This 2013 Canadian action thriller was directed by Damian Lee, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Deborah Wakeham and Christian Piers Betley. This project followed his previous films Sacrifice and A Dark Truth. The movie stars Brendan Fraser, who also served as a producer, alongside Dominic Purcell and Ethan Suplee. Other cast members include Lara Daans, Naomi Andrews, and Andrew Jackson.

The film received a lukewarm response from viewers. It holds a rating of 4.2/10 on IMDb based on 3,200 votes and a 4.3/10 on TMDB from 85 votes.
