Cup Cake

PJ is a robot-obsessed dreamer struggling to keep his parents' bakery, Cup Cake, afloat after their disappearance. Burdened by significant debts to loan sharks and a deceptive marriage to a woman named Kitty, he finds himself in a desperate situation. With the help of a resourceful artist named Gala and a group of unfortunate friends, PJ attempts to restore the business's financial health and improve his romantic prospects.

This comedy was directed by Colin McIvor, marking the first of two films in his career, followed by No Ordinary Heist. The screenplay was written by Christine Murphy and produced by Katy Jackson. The ensemble cast features Adam Best as PJ Johnson, Michelle Fairley as Annie McNabb, and Clive Russell as Mute McGill, with Paul Kennedy, Marie Jones, and Lucy McConnell also appearing in the 86-minute production.
