The Returned

In a world where a virus transforms people into zombies, those infected can maintain their humanity through daily medication. These individuals, known as the Returned, live normal lives until the global supply of the treatment begins to run out. As panic spreads and anti-Returned groups incite violence, the government orders the infected into isolated medical camps for safety. Kate, a medical professional who cares for the sick, discovers her husband Alex is among the infected. To avoid the mandatory camps and secure the remaining serum, the couple decides to flee together.

This drama and horror thriller was directed by Manuel Carballo, following his 2010 film Exorcismus. The movie features Emily Hampshire as Kate and Kristen Holden-Ried as Alex, with supporting roles played by Shawn Doyle, Claudia Bassols, Melina Matthews, and Barry Flatman.
