The Book of Daniel

The Book of Daniel is a drama with fantasy and historical elements set in the ancient Near East. After Jerusalem falls in 605 B.C., Daniel is taken into slavery and made to serve Babylon's king, Nebuchadnezzar. Despite the danger around him, he becomes a trusted adviser among the king's wise men. The central conflict comes when he must decide between continuing to serve the king and remaining faithful to God, with his life at risk.

The film is directed by Anna Zielinski and written by Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman. David A.R. White produced it for Pure Flix Entertainment and Believer Entertainment, and it runs 88 minutes. Robert Miano plays the older Daniel, with Andrew Bongiorno as Daniel, Lance Henriksen as Cyrus, Kevin McCorkle as Croesus, Rolf Saxon as Nebuchadnezzar and Peter Kluge as Darius. Twenty-six cast members are credited in all.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.1/10 from roughly 1,700 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 7/10 from a much smaller group of 71 voters, suggesting a modest audience rather than a wide one. It was released in the United States on October 1, 2013.
