The Curse

A family consisting of a father, mother, and daughter travels to the mountains, where they lose their way and are forced to spend the night. During their stay, the daughter discovers the body of a young girl in a glacier who bears a striking resemblance to her. As the parents seek help from mountain rescue services, they become entangled in a local myth regarding an ancient curse and a prophecy that appears to be coming true.

This horror mystery was directed by Ralf Huettner, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Andy T. Hoetzel. It is the first of four listed films in Huettner's career, preceding Voll Normaaal, Lost in Siberia, and Behringer und die Toten: Feuerteufel. The production was a joint effort between Germany and Austria, involving production companies such as ORF, BR, Süddeutscher Rundfunk, and Extrafilm Produktion. The cast features Dominic Raacke and Barbara May as the parents, with supporting roles played by Ortrud Beginnen, Barbara Valentin, Tobias Moretti, and Gerd Lohmeyer. The film has a runtime of 88 minutes.
