Set in Texas, this drama and thriller centers on a struggling family. Thirteen-year-old Jacob is obsessed with heavy metal and motocross, but his rebellious and delinquent behavior creates instability at home. When Jacob involves his younger brother, Wes, in criminal activity, child protective services intervene and place Wes in the care of his aunt. To bring the younger boy home, Jacob and his emotionally distant father, Hollis, must confront their own failings and take responsibility for one another.
