Allegiant

Allegiant follows Tris Prior and Tobias Eaton as they leave the walled city of Chicago and enter the world beyond it. Taken into the care of a mysterious agency, they learn that their former home was part of a larger experiment, and that the truths they grew up with do not hold outside the fence. As a conflict threatening humanity takes shape, Tris and Tobias must work out whom they can trust and face hard choices about loyalty, courage and sacrifice.

The film is the third in the Divergent series and the second of the three directed by Robert Schwentke, following Insurgent the previous year. It is based on Veronica Roth's novel of the same name. Stephen Chbosky, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage wrote the screenplay, and Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher and Pouya Shahbazian produced it. Shailene Woodley and Theo James return as Tris and Four, alongside Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Naomi Watts and Jeff Daniels, with a credited cast of 90 and crew of 339. Made for 110 million dollars, it returned 179 million dollars worldwide, a modest result against its cost for a film of this scale.

On IMDb it holds 5.7 out of 10 from about 146,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.1 out of 10 from roughly 7,100 votes. A critics' rating of 4.1 out of 10 from 196 reviews places it below both audience scores.
