Wax pursues drug traffickers and a terrorist plot with methods that leave Reese longing for his desk, and the violence soon reaches into Reese's own life, forcing him to rely on his unpredictable partner.
Pierre Morel directed the film, his third feature after District B13 and Taken, from a screenplay by Adi Hasak. John Travolta plays Wax and Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays Reese, with Kasia Smutniak, Richard Durden, Bing Yin and Amber Rose Revah among the credited cast of 24; India Osborne produced. Made for about 52 million dollars, it took in roughly 53 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.4 from over 120,000 votes, on TMDB 6.5 from a few thousand, while a critics' rating of 4.7 from 162 reviews places it below the audience scores.
