Air traffic controller Dylan Branson is blinded by a sudden flash of light at exactly 2:22 in the afternoon, and two passenger planes narrowly avoid a collision because of it. Suspended from his job afterward, he begins to notice that the same small events, sounds and encounters repeat every day in identical order, always building toward that same minute. His search for an explanation brings him together with Sarah Barton, a woman who was aboard one of the planes, and the two grow convinced that their lives have been connected far longer than either of them can account for.

Paul Currie directed the film from a screenplay by Nathan Parker and Todd Stein, with Currie also producing alongside Bruce Davey and Steve Hutensky. Michiel Huisman plays Dylan and Teresa Palmer plays Sarah, with Sam Reid, John Waters, Kerry Armstrong and Richard Davies among the supporting cast. The production involved Australian, British and American companies and was made on a modest scale, and its worldwide box office of about 4 million dollars was likewise small.

Audience response has been middling: on IMDb it sits at 5.7 out of 10 across more than 25,000 votes, and on TMDB it holds 6 out of 10 from a much smaller base of 1,576 votes. A critics' rating of 3.3 out of 10 from 10 reviews is noticeably lower than either audience figure.
