Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse follows three teenage friends on the eve of their final camping trip. When a zombie outbreak tears through their quiet town, Ben, Carter and Augie have to rely on the skills they have picked up over years of scouting. A cocktail waitress named Denise joins them, and together they try to hold off the undead and keep the town's remaining survivors alive.

Christopher Landon directed and co-wrote the film with Emi Mochizuki and Carrie Lee Wilson, and it followed his 2014 feature Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller and Joey Morgan play the three scouts, with Sarah Dumont as Denise and David Koechner as Scout Leader Rogers. It was produced by Todd Garner, Andy Fickman and Betsy Sullenger for Paramount and several smaller companies.

The film was released in October 2015 and runs 93 minutes. Made for around 15 million dollars, it took in roughly 16 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from about 61,000 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 6.6 from some 2,200 votes. A critics' rating of 4.8 from 93 reviews places it clearly below the scores audiences gave it. Landon went on to direct Happy Death Day and several later features.
