Return of the Living Dead III

A teenager named Curt Reynolds sneaks into a secret military laboratory with his girlfriend Julie, where his father, an Army colonel, has been overseeing experiments that reanimate the dead. After the two witness an experiment go wrong and flee, a motorcycle crash kills Julie. Curt knows about a chemical agent used in the lab, and he returns there to expose her body to it, hoping to bring her back. Julie does come back, but not as she was, and her transformation puts others in danger as she and Curt go on the run.

The film is the third entry in the Return of the Living Dead series and was directed by Brian Yuzna, arriving between Bride of Re-Animator and Necronomicon in a run of horror features he made during the early 1990s. John Penney wrote the screenplay, and Yuzna produced with Tom Fox and Gary Schmoeller. Melinda Clarke, credited as Mindy Clarke, plays Julie, with J. Trevor Edmond as Curt, Kent McCord as Colonel Reynolds, and Sarah Douglas among the supporting cast. Twenty-six cast members and sixty crew are credited.

Made for about two million dollars, the film drew modest numbers on both IMDb, where it holds a 5.9 rating from roughly 18,000 votes, and TMDB, where it sits at 6.6 from a much smaller pool of around 900 users. A critics' rating of 4.9 from twelve reviews places it below the audience scores.
