Short description
Two American mercenaries and former associates, Sam French and Jake Wyer, are recruited by the CIA for a mission in Southeast Asia. Their objective is to overthrow a dictator named General Bosavi by training a group of local rebels. Despite their shared history, the two men frequently clash, creating tension as they navigate the dangers of the region and attempt to complete their assignment.
The film was directed by Charles Martin Smith, marking his second directorial effort following Trick or Treat. The cast features Robert Hays and Peter Weller as the lead mercenaries, with Smith also appearing in the role of Martin Sprue. What's left behind the scenes
- Cannon Films initially planned to cast Chuck Norris and Michael Dudikoff in the lead roles, but ultimately Peter Weller and Robert Hays were cast as Jake and Frank, respectively. Norris declined to participate in the project because he had already starred in several action movies set in the jungle.
