Bye Bye Love

Bye Bye Love follows three recently divorced friends, Dave, Vic and Donny, as they try to rebuild their lives while sharing custody of their children. Vic feels judged by his former in-laws, Donny struggles to connect with his teenage daughter Emma, and Dave finds himself juggling more romantic interest than he can manage. The men lean on each other as they navigate single parenthood, new relationships and the lingering effects of their marriages.

Sam Weisman directed the film, his third feature after Mimi & Me and D2: The Mighty Ducks. Gary David Goldberg and Brad Hall wrote the screenplay, and both also produced alongside Weisman. Matthew Modine, Randy Quaid and Paul Reiser lead the cast as the three friends, with Janeane Garofalo, Amy Brenneman and Eliza Dushku in supporting roles, among 51 credited cast members. Released in March 1995, the film is a comedy with romantic elements from 20th Century Fox and Ubu Productions.

The film grossed around 12 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.2 from roughly 6,800 votes, while on TMDB it has a 6 from about 82 votes. A critics' rating of 4.8 from 21 reviews places it below the audience scores on IMDb and TMDB, indicating that general viewers responded somewhat more positively than professional reviewers.
