Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom

Following the recovery of the Trost District, Eren Yeager is brought before a military tribunal to determine which division should control him. While some officials view his ability to transform into a Titan as a threat to be eliminated, the Survey Corps seeks to use his power to reclaim Wall Maria. Under the guidance of Captain Levi, Eren works to master his skills before joining an expedition beyond the walls alongside Mikasa and Armin. The mission becomes dangerous when they encounter the Female Titan, an intelligent being intent on capturing Eren.

Directed by Tetsuro Araki, this Japanese animated fantasy film was released on June 27, 2015. It follows his previous work on Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow and precedes his 2017 film Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Life That Burns. The production involved Kodansha, Pony Canyon, MBS, and Production I.G, with a screenplay written by Yasuko Kobayashi and produced by Tomohito Nagase. The voice cast features Yuki Kaji as Eren Yeager, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa Ackerman, and Marina Inoue as Armin Arlert, among 33 credited cast members. The movie has a runtime of 120 minutes. It is well received by viewers, holding a 7.9 rating on IMDb based on 4,300 votes and an 8.2 rating on TMDB from 390 votes.
