The Back-Up Plan

Zoe has grown tired of waiting for the right man to start a family with, so she decides to have a child on her own through artificial insemination. On the very day of the procedure, she meets Stan, a man who appears to be everything she had been looking for. The timing leaves her in a difficult position: she must decide how and when to tell him she is pregnant, while the two of them try to build a relationship. Much of the film's comedy comes from her attempts to hide the early signs of pregnancy and from Stan's confusion at her behaviour.

Jennifer Lopez plays Zoe, with Alex O'Loughlin as Stan. The supporting cast includes Michaela Watkins, Eric Christian Olsen, Anthony Anderson and Noureen DeWulf. It runs 106 minutes and was made for a budget of 35 million dollars, taking 77 million dollars worldwide.
